J65 Buffet Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore

Been ages I haven't post and the most requested reviews are definitely Buffet! Not just Singaporeans, people from around the world love it too. It's the best way to try out local food for tourists/foreigners if you are staying at a hotel which provides buffet dining. J65 Hotel Jen Tanglin may suit your likings. I love how vibrant and stylish the interior was so let's not further, dig in to the buffet.

First, I will always get my appetizers on, the salads. The fun thing is you can "d.i.y" your Rojak(Singaporean style salad). I'm having my greens and potato salad before I begin the greater feast.

The Seafood moment! Most people consume the lobsters and crabs, well sorry to tell you guys that the Lobsters were over chewy and tasteless, as the prawns filled with loads of "s". I bet you know what I mean, but still lots of people enjoying it.

The Sushi/Sashimi department, well it looks like catered sushi.

My favorite of all, the Kueh Pie Tee. It's seen most likely at any Buffet restaurants that provides local delicacies as it's the easiest no brainer food to prepare and the taste will never go wrong.

Next, this department has Chinese roast meat "to me seems like just displaying because they're lack of staffs to assist, I waited so long and didn't get any meat." So I just gather some satay"meat kebab dip with peanut sauce", and some stir-fried omelette with oyster. I got to grab the Laksa"Singaporean style rice noodle with spicy soup gravy contains coconut milk, dash of Laksa leaves". What a hearty warm Laksa they have. There were also Fresh Oysters but I try not to touch those to keep my stomach less pressurized.

Here they have some cooked dishes, love the fried frozen prawns with cereal. Taste amazing if you paired it up with some rice, I loved it so much because you don't need to peel the shell off your pretty fingers. As you can see I went for another helping of them.

The roast meats of beef and pork ribs were not bad.

The storage for the cooling desserts were very creative, but the ice cream tasted bad. It's pretty placing them scooped on a muffin cup and you don't need to work your butt up to scoop it yourself.

The colorful rice cakes, they are super tummy-filling and if you eat durian try their durian puree. For me the durian puree tasted delicious but I was too full to get another bowl, they finished up pretty fast and I have to wait for new batch to be served.

Chocolate brownie and red velvet top with cream cheese by far tasted better than other cakes. 

Overall experience I will come back again and maybe try other days because they have different buffet themes daily. I tried the Dinner Buffet on last Saturday night and I got 25% off as I made reservation online on their website.
