Straits Cafe Buffet Rendezvous Hotel Singapore

Let's get straight to the local and international buffet at Straits Cafe, Rendezvous Hotel. I'm wearing my new Nike white sneakers today, they are super comfortable. Moving on~

The interior were very simple and clean.

Incase you didn't see any sashimi, you need to order from the counter. I wish there were more sushi and varieties.

The salad area were pleasant but it looks less appealing to reach out.

I got my shrimps from the "D.i.y Kuey Pie Tee" area I needed some toppings to go with it.

Here are the D.i.y Kuey Pie Tee and D.i.y Rojak stations. You will see me playing my Kuey Pie Tee everytime at any Buffet, if you happen to see me remember to say hi!

The Beef Rendang were pretty yummy, I actually went for another round of rice and Rendang itself. Fried spring rolls were also tempting me from far I got to get some, ya know I have an affair with my fried food.

My Japanese friend was so excited to try out all the food.

The roast lamb was slightly chewy for me.

You got to order the local carrot cake "radish rice cake stir-fry with eggs", so you will get it in omelette version at Straits Cafe and hope they lessen the salt next time. The laksa was a big generous bowl, you might ask for a smaller portion next time if you just want to try. It's a bit on the sweeter side than usual laksa, I love that they have toppings of hard boiled "Quail eggs" which usually people give half slice of hard boiled egg.

Finally I can reach out for desserts, I am the true dessert lover! By the way they have ice cream too if you want some go scoop it yourself, but the staffs were very friendly they helped us to scoop as the ice cream was so frozen-up and impossible to scoop it up if you have weak strength like me.

I wanted to point out the highlights from Straits Cafe, the Bo Bo Cha Cha "Coconut milk with toppings" Bingsu they have was way beyond expected! It was so delicious that even my stomach has so much going on I was still able to consume more of it. They named it as Bo Bo Cha Cha Bingsu, ask if there are any of those next time. Highly recommended!

Another highlights were their Durian desserts, they place them in a see-through fridge that no one seems to notice or grab them. Except the green steamed cake, I grab it to add color touch to all the yellowish Durian desserts. Birthday girl happily enjoyed all these babies with me. I loved them so much I will come back empty stomach for these babies on my next visit.

Last but not least complimentary birthday cake, please arrange with the staffs or notify them earlier. The buffet spread was not a lot of varieties but we have a great experience at Straits Cafe because of the friendly staffs. I will definitely come back again for the comfortable place and some of the food I enjoyed.

We went on last tuesday, received 10% discount for DBS card holder.
